Acting Like a Leader

Skills highlight: Solution finding and working in a timeline
Meet with Notre Dame’s director of theatre productions, Sarah Kane, and our theater students and learn how experience in performing arts develops transferable skills in leadership. The session will include activities to promote creativity, imagination and improvisation skills.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education and careers are expected to grow in the years to come. Learn more about women’s participation & leadership in these fields through a hands-on workshop with the Notre Dame Robotics Team, the Janksters. Participants will experience three aspects of robotics – programming, mechanics, and marketing.

Skills highlight: Giving and receiving information
Student leadership is more than winning an elected position; it requires effective organization and inspirational skills. Join the Director of Student Leadership and Activities, Mrs. Pandori, and Notre Dame student leaders. This workshop will provide specific skills and ideas to help students effectively lead their peers.
Leaders know how to listen and communicate. In an early celebration of Mardi Gras, participants will receive a basic introduction to French language and culture in this interactive workshop. Making food and crafts will be part of the session. Come ready to develop those listening and speaking skills with one of Notre Dame’s French teachers, Ms. Lipps.
Celebrating Women’s History Month st
Tuesday, March 21 from 5-7pm Concept highlight: “Walking the powerful path” March is Women’s History Month and we invite you to celebrate it with us! Learn how Judy Chicago’s exhibit “The Dinner Party” inspired countless young women to honor women’s strength and leadership. The workshop includes an opportunity to view the Woman’s Place Project on display at Notre Dame. LEAD students are invited to bring a mother, grandmother or other meaningful woman in her life to this workshop. Come and be inspired!
Spring Sports Clinic Tuesday, April 11th from 3:30-5pm Pardini Park Skills highlight: Coaching self & others Coaching is an important skill – both for achievement of individual goals as well as working with others. Through participation in team sports, students can learn to develop this leadership skill. This session is for those who are interested in softball and lacrosse. The session will be facilitated by Notre Dame student‐athletes and the Director of Athletics.
