2016 League Selection Guidelines
(Please Read Before Completing 2016 League Registration) For 2016, the leagues continue to provide an opportunity to network, meet new friends, improve skills, handicaps, And most of all - have fun! The leagues will have three flight designations based on skill level. Please read the following for assistance with selecting the appropriate flight for your skill level. League format will be Individual. (Note: For a detailed list of the Leagues, see League Schedule.) Flight A is for players with an average nine-hole score of 55 strokes or less. (Score will be verified by 2015 league play, 1st week of 2016 league play or official HCP i.e. GAM or EWGA GLMS). Flight A/B is for players with an average nine-hole score of 69 strokes or less. (Note: Depending on the size of the league, it may be divided into two groups (Group A and Group B) based on your scores from the first week of league play. Each player will then play a round robin within their group) Flight C is for the new golfer or golfer whose average nine-hole score is 70 strokes or more The success of the leagues is largely dependent upon the teamwork of its members. Please observe the following guidelines when registering for leagues: All league players must remain current members of the national and local organization of EWGA throughout the entire league season. Current member ID card to be verified by league captain All league players must pay a $25 NON-REFUNDABLE administrative league fee for each league No League Refunds after April 15, 2016 Attendance at the EWGA-MD Rules Clinics is highly recommended for all players! You will receive an email when registration is available on-line. A EWGA-MD League Handicap will be provided by your captain weekly. If you are registering for more than one league, complete a separate on-line registration for each league Complete the substitute registration form if you wish to substitute on any EWGA-MD leagues. Carefully follow the email instructions or you may contact the league captain directly. League players will be responsible for obtaining their own substitute. However, substitutes need not be EWGA members. A list of EWGA-MD members interested in substituting will be provided You will receive an email confirming your registration on the league. Position on the league is confirmed once payment is received in full! We are excited about what the 2016 season has to offer!
