Kids In Action after school program dates:
September 8, 2014 – June 12, 2015 Monday - Friday 3-6pm APS Early Release Wednesdays 1:30-6pm For children in Kindergarten – 5th Grade
Children in Kindergarten must be 5 by Sept. 30, 2014 DPR Elementary After School Programs are designed to build participants’ developmental assets* in a safe, challenging and enriching environment. Transportation is not provided by DPR from schools to program sites. Ask your school about alternative bus routes!

The Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to promoting participation by providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, upon request. *Research by the Search Institute has identified “40 Developmental Assets” that are building blocks proven to help young people grow up healthy, caring and responsible.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ON-LINE OR AT THE REGISTRATION LOCATIONS BELOW. NON-RESIDENT REGISTRATION INCLUDES AN ADDITIONAL 50% SURCHARGE.

PAYMENT INFROMATION:
Payment for the Sept-June program is $1,350 (without fee reductions). At the time of registration, a $45 deposit is due. If you wish to pay monthly, you will need to complete a “Payment Form” at the time of registration and will follow a monthly payment schedule (payments due on the 15th day of each month). Please speak to the Registration staff at your site for additional assistance. Customers are strongly encouraged to enroll in our new auto-debit option that will automatically charge the monthly payment of $145 to a personal credit card from September 15th through May 15th. Cancellations must be done in writing to [email protected] at least two weeks in advance. Entering or leaving the program in the middle of the service dates will be pro-rated at $8 per day.

FEE REDUCTIONS: Don’t let fees be a barrier! Arlington County residents may request a fee reduction. Please contact the main registration office or satellite service centers for more information. You can also email the DPR Youth and Family Programs Unit at [email protected]. Fee Reduction information and forms are available at www.arlingtonva.us (search “fee reductions”). Fee reduction applications must be processed PRIOR to registration since discounts are NOT RETROACTIVE. Fee reductions are available on a sliding scale based on household income and size. To apply for a fee reduction, bring proof of income such as tax forms, or original free/reduced lunch letter from APS to receive 25%-75% off. Proof of identity and proof of Arlington residency is also required.
