RMU Island Sports Complex (Neville Island) http://rmuislandsports.org/hockey/inline-hockey-leagues/learn-to-skateand-play-inline-hockey Ages 5 - 9 & 10 - 13 • Spring/Summer The Learn to Skate and Play InLine Hockey gives children the opportunity to learn the basics of skating and InLine hockey in a fun-to-learn and structured environment. Children are divided into groups according to age and skill. Each weekly class consists of 35 minutes of skating and stick skill instruction and a 10-minute game. Upon completion of the classes, children will be able to join the RMU Island Sports Center High School Developmental League and enjoy playing hockey with youngsters of similar age and ability. FREE Learn to Skate Clinics Each five-week session begins with a free skating clinic. These clinics give children the opportunity to try skating without having to invest in equipment or a registration fee. Pre-registration is required please call 412-397-4454 to enroll. Equipment The following hockey equipment is recommended for the free clinics and required for the classes: helmet with facemask, elbow pads, shin guards and a stick. A limited number of rental skates which fit youth sizes 11-5 are available to first-time participants at no charge. Call 412-397-4448 or 4456 to reserve a pair. Fee: $45 for the 5 week sessions.
