Included in the space are 6 half power racks, outfitted with a full spectrum of weight, 3 Olympic lifting platforms, 2 sets of dumbbells ranging from 5lb – 100lb, Kettlebells 4kg – 40kg, 2 sleds and a full spectrum of functional training equipment – TRX, Medicine Balls, Resistance Bands, Agility Ladders, Hurdles, Cones, Stability Balls, and Foam Rollers etc. Steps from the weight room is UNE’s Performance Court Arena, designed for Basketball and Volleyball competition.

Individual Athletic Movement Profile – Each athlete will receive a Functional Movement Screen Movement Analysis and will have the opportunity to measure their Vertical Jump, 10yd Dash, and 5-10-5 Agility Shuttle.

Utilizing a scientifically proven and tested system of strength, speed and recovery training techniques specific to the sport of Basketball, UNE Strength & Conditioning Coach Lyndie Kelley RSCC, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, FMS-C, will provide all athletes who attend with the skills, tools and knowledge necessary to maximize their basketball talent for the upcoming National Senior Games.
Program Specifics LOCATION: Nor’easter Strength & Conditioning Facility - Harold Alfond Forum 630 Pool St. Biddeford, ME 04005 DATES & TIMES: Three Sessions: Session #1 – Saturday Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28 / Feb. 4, 11 Session #2 – Saturday Feb. 18 / March 4, 11, 18, 25 Session #3 – Saturday April 1, 15, 29 / May 6, 13 Each session is 1 hour in length – 11am to 12pm COST: $80.00 per package OR $15.00 per session *Minimum of 10 athletes needed for session to run PARTICIPATION PAPERWORK: Physician’s Clearance and Completion of PAR-Q, Health History Questionnaire and Informed Consent required.
Basketball-Specific Strength, Speed and Recovery Programs – Each athlete will have the opportunity to participate in weekly workouts designed to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injury. Access to our state of the art Nor’easter Strength & Conditioning Facility – All training sessions will take place in our 3,600 sq. ft. weight room that is specifically designed to help athletes maximize their potential – build strength, confidence and a championship mentality. Weekly Basketball-Specific Athlete Guides – All athletes will be provided with an educational component each week that will complement their hard work in the weight room including Sports Nutrition, Soft Tissue Care and Recovery Techniques, Sports Psychology and Mental Imagery, Prehab and Rehab Skills etc. Professional Collegiate-Level Strength & Conditioning Expertise – Coach Kelley will be designing and implementing all workouts and educational programming and can/will modify exercises for any athlete who needs it.
Lyndie Kelley, Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of New England, is Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. She is also a certified in the Functional Movement Screen. She specializes in athletic performance enhancement and injury prevention techniques and is dedicated to the comprehensive development of all her athletes – physically, mentally, personally and professionally. Coach Kelley is passionate about the game of basketball and played four years collegiately at UNE. She is currently an Assistant Coach for the Nor’easters, who are a perennial power in the NCAA DIII Northeast and the CCC. She seeks to combine sport savvy with athletic skill to create championship moments for her athletes.
