LED STRIP LIGHT PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION LEAVE A COPY FOR THE USER / MAINTENANCE ENGINEER FOR FUTURE REFERENCE IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK 

Disconnect power before performing installation or maintenance

Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the LED strip label information. Make all electrical grounded connections in accordance with the latest edition of the National Electric Code (NEC) and applicable local code requirements.

WARNING CAUTION

. 

If the supply wire is damaged. It must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

All wiring connections should be capped with UL approved wire connections.

If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfill or dumps, hazardous substances can be damaging to health and wellbeing. This device is not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit lights. No user-serviceable parts inside.

Only 12v Power supply can be used with this LED strip.

Make sure all LED strip is connected to a 12v DC, UL recognized class 2 power supply.

Determine how many liner feet you are installing. Voltage drop will occur. ( See LED Strip wattage table)

Improper Installation will VOID warranty.

WARNING RISK OF FIRE

WARNING RISK OF BURNS 

Do not exceed maximum wattage on LED strip label.

Follow all manufacturer’s warnings and recommendations for the driver type, mounting position, methods, replacements and recycling.

 

Incorrect installation may result in electrical shock or a risk of a fire Operating Temperature is -4°F to 122°F / -20°C to 50°C “Keep out of direct sunlight”.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION 1. Cut out need length at marked locations as printed on LED strip. 2. Connection details, (See Diagram B-1 and B-2) • For IP strip, slide a length of the heat shrink sleeve onto the end of the strip to be connected to the LED Driver. • For IP strip, to connect power, carefully cut away the plastic sheath to reveal the (+ and -) or (RGBV+) connection points. • For NON-IP strip (+ and -) or (RGBV+) are exposed and ready for soldering or quick connector. • For IP strip, the copper track is lacquered which will need to be removed so that the connectors or solder will make proper contact to copper track. Use a knife to carefully scrape away the lacquer from the surface of the copper track, use caution not to cut the circuit board. • If soldering, IP and NON-IP strip, tin’ the copper track before soldering on wires. • Carefully solder the wires onto the LED strip. • For IP strip, apply the glue/silicone to the connection and slide the heat-shrink sleeve in place over the connection. • NON-IP strip, heat shrink is not needed. • Gently apply heat to the sleeve with a heat gun until it shrinks over the connection. As this is a user made connection an “IP rating cannot be guaranteed.” 3. Connect power source (12v) and if applicable the RGB controller, according to the polarity or by color of wire (RGBV+) or (+ and -) for single color, at the end of LED strip. (See Diagram B-1 and B-2) 4. Make sure to clean install area toughly to remove dust or dirt and then remove protective layer of double-sided adhesive (included) on back of LED strip carefully. Make sure this is done in a clean environment, any contaminants will cause adhesive to lose strength. (See Diagram C) 5. When Installing strip be careful not to bend or flex the strip beyond 60°. (See Diagram D) 6. Apply LED strip onto the application area. Press evenly with slight pressure on the LED strip with a soft towel to assure good contact. 7. Check (Driver Type Table) table to assist with calculating liner feet for driver being used in the installation and place drivers accordingly based on wattage and liner feet. 8. When Installation is complete test power. If any power issues please check all connection points and solder points for lose or bad connection. (Note: Please make sure strip is not in direct sunlight during use. Improper installation will void warranty)
