About this Document Our solution enables you to collect not just more content, but more valuable content as well. That being said, we know that any reviews you collected in the past are also valuable and we want to make sure you keep those too. We can perform a legacy review import where we import your old reviews into our system so they can be displayed seamlessly alongside you the reviews you collect using PowerReviews Express.
Timing On average it takes us about two weeks to import legacy reviews from the time we receive the correctly formatted file. Please be aware that we cannot perform the import until after you complete the Integration Wizard and click the “Go Live” button.
Review Authenticity and Integrity All reviews being imported must adhere to our moderation policies and will be filtered before import. Please ensure there is no duplicate content, profanity, gibberish, or special characters that are not supported by XML since these may not be imported at our discretion. Editing or “picking and choosing” reviews based on their rating is not permitted as this compromises review authenticity.

Legacy Review Import File Requirements File Format: • •
CSV format UTF-8 format to allow for correct processing of different locales and special characters that may occur in the file.
File Content: Required Fields Column Header Review ID Product ID Rating Review Title Review Date Review Text
Field Description The unique identifier for the review The Product ID must match the page_id in your product feed, and the code on your page exactly or reviews will not display. The star rating for each review on a 5 star scale The title or headline of the review The date the review was originally written by the reviewer The main body or comments of the review
Recommended Fields Column Header Field Description Review Display The name or nickname provide by the reviewer. Name Review Location The location provided by the reviewer. If this field is left blank we'll populate it with "Undisclosed". Review Title The title or headline of the review. If not included in the file, we use the first 25 characters of the review to create a review title. Locale Language and country the review is associated with (default is en_US). This should match the locale being utilized by your PowerReviews account. Verified Buyer Review is associated with an order (true/false) Recommendation Reviewer would recommend to a friend (true/false) Helpful Votes Number of positive community votes associated with the review (integer) Not Helpful Votes Number of negative community votes associated with the review (integer) User Id Reviewer id or user id Service Comments specific to service collected separately from the Comments product comments An example CSV-formatted review feed can be found here:

Submitting Your Request After you complete the integration and create your legacy review import file per the specifications above, go to the Support Tab on the Dashboard to enter our Support Portal. Once in the portal, go to the Cases tab, create a new case and attach the legacy review import file. One of our Technical Support Engineers will respond to your case within two business days to confirm receipt of the file and let you know when you can expect the import to be complete. Again, please remember that on average it takes us two weeks to complete a legacy review import.
