School Playgrounds/Immunity - SB 315 (SL 2015-64) 

School playgrounds can be made available to the public during non-school hours 

 



Only when not otherwise being used for school activities

School board is immune from liability associated with such use Board has authority to set terms & conditions associated with public playground use

A-F School Grading Scale - HB 358 (SL 2015-17) 

15-point scale for A-F school grades remains until Fall 2016 report cards

DoT covers school utility-line relocation costs when occurring on school property

Increased penalties for certain school personnel convicted of sex offenses against students Class I felony for sexual act/taking indecent liberties when personnel is less than 4 years older than student

Elimination of State mandate for Personal Education Plans for at-risk students LEAs can still use PEPs at their own discretion
