INTRODUCTION If you're looking for a boost in performance, you may want to upgrade your RAM. If you have inadequate amounts of RAM, some of the processes could be handed to the hard drive, slowing your machine immensely. Depending on your use, a replacement or upgrade in RAM could increase system performance. More RAM allows for multiple processes to be ran quickly and efficiently.

Step 1 — RAM
Flip over the laptop so the bottom is facing up.
Unscrew the two black 5mm screws on the memory panel with your Phillips #0 screwdriver.
These screws are attached to the panel and are not made to be removed. Step 2
Push the metal clips away from the RAM.
Slide out and lift the RAM.
When replacing ram be sure to align correctly and remove carefully to avoid damage.
