Family Challenge This week your child learned about the value of having spiritual friends who they can pray for, encourage, and challenge, and who will do the same for them. For this week’s family challenge, make some time in your family’s schedule to invite your child’s friends over to spend time hanging out. If your child doesn’t have friends who are believers, invite a family over from your church to help your child begin a relationship with other believers who are the same age.

Dinnertime Discussion At dinnertime this week, ask one of these questions to get your family talking. 1. Who’s the best friend you’ve ever had? 2. Have you ever had the chance to encourage a friend or had them encourage you? What happened? 3. Have you ever prayed for your friend or had them pray for you? What happened? 4. Have you ever had to challenge a friend when they weren’t following God or had a friend challenge you? What happened? Use these questions to help your kids think about how they and their friends can help each other become more like Jesus. Remind them in these conversations that if we really love our friends, we’ll make the time to spend with them to build fun, healthy relationships that honor God and show the world His love.
