Lord, make me an instrument of your piece, where there is hatred, let me sow love, Where there is injury, pardon, Where there is doubt, faith, Where there is despair, hope, Where there is darkness, light, And, where there is sadness, joy, O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

At an early age, she joined the Rock Spring Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health declined in 2017. She spent her life living in the only house she remembers, on the farm that she helped manage with her brother and sister-in-law.

Rozie loved cooking for her family, the church and friends. Her love for gardening was visible in the flower garden she tended when she was able. She loved talking about and getting gifts of flowers. Quilting was her fall and winter hobby. She made many quilts from scrap cloth and cotton for her family. Most of all she enjoyed who knew her smile. There were always friends and family stopping by to visit and talk. On January 8, 2018, God called her home to her eternal resting place. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Mrs. Betty Louise Shields of Covington, GA, Ms. Rosetta Smith and Mrs. Mary Joyce Durden both of Mansfield, GA; grandchildren, Bernard, Sherry, Gregory, Trophyce, Dwayne, Carla and Amelia; devoted nieces, Wyenna, Julia, Elaine, Janice and Elsie; twelve greatgrandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
