What are Vocational Qualifications (VRQ*)? These are not academic qualifications; they are vocational qualifications which “prepare a learner for employment (voluntary or paid) although a comparison can be made: Level 1 Award: 10 -‐ 120 total learning hours (eg L1 Award in Coaching Lacrosse) Level 2 Certificate: 121 -‐360 total learning hours (eg L2 Certificate in Coaching Lacrosse) Level 3 Diploma: 361+ total learning hours Vocational level Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4 Level 5
Level 1 Pathway The new Level 1 course is now certificated externally by 1st 4 Sport. The course is a Level 1 VRQ Award that sits on the national qualification framework.
The Introductory course can be taken in isolation as well as part of the full Level 1 qualification.
