Life Member Award Award Information Tourism Victoria’s Life Member Award will recognize one outstanding individual for his or her exceptional contributions to Tourism Victoria, the tourism industry and/or the community. This individual will receive the Life Membership distinction, a framed certificate and be recognized at the Annual General Meeting. A Life Member is an exceptional individual who has contributed his or her time, knowledge and abilities to the enhancement of the tourism industry and/or to the community and who has demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment toward the enhancement and reputation of Tourism Victoria. The Life Member is invited to attend meetings of the organization, is exempt from dues and enjoys the majority of the rights and privileges of membership. Criteria and Nominations Process Criteria for Life Membership are:
Must be an individual, and not a business, company, corporation, organization, establishment, firm, society, association, institute, group, union, party, etc. Recipient should be involved with the local tourism industry, and active in the community Previous or current membership with Tourism Victoria is not mandatory
In acknowledgement of the significance and importance of this recognition, only one individual, if any, will be awarded Life Membership distinction per year. As a Life Member is among the most prestigious of the Society, it is expected that all nominees will be truly outstanding. The nominations will be reviewed by the Finance and Membership Committee and recommended to the Board of Directors for final approval. The successful nominee will be notified and invited to the Annual General Meeting to accept the award, scheduled for late-April 2018.
