Director of Athletics

As we complete another successful Fall Semester, we look back with many exciting individual and collective accomplishments and another strong start to the winter sports, as well as great results in our nontraditional segments. Highlighted by the 6-peat A-Sun titles for both soccers (that sweep had never been accomplished in the A-Sun and has now been done for six straight years), as well as each being nationally ranked and WSOC earning our fourth NCAA berth in five years of such eligibility - subsequently achieving the program’s first ever NCAA victory at USF! Both cross county teams ran to best ever A-Sun placements, (with the ladies earning a best ever 13th place at the NCAA Regionals), volleyball finished second, and #19 Swim/Dive knocked off Notre Dame and FSU again, amongst many high notes once again achieved. Likewise, we are equally proud of the numerous additional ways that current and former Eagles continue to fulfill our ultimate mission by bringing tremendous positive publicity to FGCU. This is certainly highlighted by your continued strong overall academic results and too numerous to mention community service initiatives. It was also demonstrated in outstanding fashion with our tremendously successful 6th annual “Night at the Nest” that again played to rave reviews and which continues to help generate significant well-needed resources (to the tune of a record $525K plus). Overall, thanks to a great collective group of young men and women, FGCU Athletics remains a quality growing force to be admired and reckoned with on a local, regional, and national basis. As the semester comes to a conclusion, I want to thank you all for your many sacrifices, and contributions to the Green & Blue in general and the University as a whole. In turn, I truly trust that our administration has continued to foster a feeling of approachability in our daily efforts to serve our fantastic student-athlete population. We wish you all the bests with your final exams/projects and for a wonderful Holiday Season to you and your extended families.

God Bless & Go Eagles! Ken
