Life  Together Thank you to Stan and his grandson, Isaac Kuck, for bringing down the big equipment to clean the parking lot at the church. Also thanks to everyone who brought a shovel and did all the hand work. It looked great and is nice that we didn’t have to climb over big piles of snow. Thanks again!!! Women of Hope, Thank you so much for the wonderful lunch served following our Dad’s funeral. Thank you for your willingness to do this for us. Your kind expression of sympathy and friendship will always remain in our memories. The family of Alvin Jauken. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Kathy Weber, Kevin, Kelly, Keith Jauken & families Thank you for your donation of clothing, pillows, coats & books to Parent-Child Center. You are making a difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Parent—Child Center Lexington Hope received a wonderful letter from Dr. Embury, President of Christian Sojourn, thanking us for our donation in 2015. The letter is too much to print in the Visitor, so you will find it on the bulletin board. Please have a look at the wonderful things being done.

Blessed As I start another day, I am blessed in every way. You are a haven in which I dwell, Because of you I’m safe and well. All the problems men had made By your hand were made to fade. If not for you, where would I be? Thank you Lord for blessing me. In the name of Christ Jesus. Amen Anon.

Words of Hope Psalm 32: How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit! When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah. I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah. Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. In times of distress we can lose our way. How do we find the right path again? Who will guide us? How will we resolve our problems? Whether we need a place to hide, or are looking for deliverance, this psalm suggests that there is a way to evade those mighty waters and find a path to comfort. We don’t have to feel uncertain and alone. Selah Suffering silently is one choice but it is not what God wants us to do. God asks us to share our troubles and reveal our transgressions. Can we open our hearts and trust that God will listen and forgive us? Selah God will stand by us, advise and teach us. God promises to be with us. Selah Is there something you have been waiting or wanting to talk to God about? Do you seek forgiveness? Let God know you are ready to try something new. God of forgiveness, help us let go of our mulish ways and attend to your teachings. Open our hearts and our minds. Share your wise counsel. Show us the joy that comes from trusting you. Amen.
