Nursery is available during both services in the lower level through age 3. Children’s Worship is at 9:00am for children ages 4yrs-1st grade. (2nd & 3rd graders remain in the Sanctuary until dismissed) Classes for all children and students are at 10:30am in the lower level. Check in at the lower level Information Desk to register your children for classes. Adult Sunday School, Learn Jesus, is in lower level room 106/107 at 10:30am. The current session is “Apprenticeship” taught by Phil Bustrum and Johnson Rajen. The Prayer Team will be available following the service if you would like to pray; you can meet them under the cross in the front of the Sanctuary.
Bulletins left at the back of the sanctuary will be recycled.
THORNAPPLE NEWS Congratulations to Kresten and Kristin Green on the birth of their son, Keegan Andrew, on Apr. 6. Please pray for Terry and Fran Vogtmann and their extended family as they grieve the death of Terry's mom, Phyllis, on Apr. 7. Please pray for Ruth and Marty Green and their extended family as they grieve the death of Ruth’s mom, Lois Wilson, on Apr. 10. Please stop by the table in the narthex where there are cards for you to write a note to Craig Holstine prior to his retirement. We’ll be compiling these notes into a book to give him. Cards will be available today and next Sunday. Thank you to all who participated in the Urban Plunge on Saturday. You were a blessing to the 10 organizations where we served. If you have an interest in continuing to be involved with urban ministry, consider attending the next Urban Ministry Team meeting Thursday, May 5 at 7:00pm at church. Or, contact organizations directly to investigate volunteer opportunities. Glenn VanNoord Short-Term Urban Missions Program | College students AND high school juniors/seniors are invited to apply for the program to work in urban GR this summer. Applications are now being accepted through May 1. Learn more and apply: thornapple.org/glennvannoord. All-Church Reception for Retiring Custodian, Craig Holstine | Sunday, Apr. 24 in the Community Room, following the second service. If you or your child(ren) would like to write a note to Craig, you can put them in Kimberly Korpak's mailbox or bring them with you to the reception. There will also be a chance to write a note to Craig on the day of the reception. Prime Timers Soup and Study | Next meets on May 6 at 10:30am. New to the Covenant denomination and/or to Thornapple? We offer a three-part series (May 4, 11 and 18; 6:30-8pm) called "What is a Covenant Church?" This is a great way to learn about the denomination and church membership (and is a prerequisite for membership). Following the series, we will have a membership class on May 22 from 4-6pm. This meeting is for any women interested in helping to plan future ministry and events for women at Thornapple.
