Dear Parents & Carers, Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a great Christmas and New Year. Linchfield does BGT! As I am sure some of you will be aware, our choir (or as they are sometimes known ‘The Mini G’s’) will be auditioning for Britain’s Got Talent, on Sunday, at Excel, in London. We are meeting at Peterborough Railway Station at 7.30am to travel down to our audition, hoping to make our way through rounds 1 & 2 on the day. I will tweet throughout the day, so keep your eyes peeled for @linchfield updates. I am sure that you will all join with me in wishing them luck! Thanks to Chris Mizen for suggesting the audition to me. Staffing Structure changes Due to the maternity leaves’ of Mrs Brompton & Miss Baxter, the following changes have been made to the Senior Leadership Team, until the end of the academic year: Mrs Kennedy has assumed the role of Acting Deputy Headteacher, in recognition of her enhanced responsibilities. She will remain in charge of assessment, but has taken over full responsibility for Inclusion (including the role of SENCo), until Miss Baxter returns from maternity leave. Miss Huntly has assumed the role of Acting Assistant Headteacher. She will remain in charge of English, but has taken over many of Mrs Brompton’s leadership responsibilities. She will now also be in charge of the lower school (Years 1-3) until the end of the academic year. Mr Forman has assumed the role of Acting Upper School Leader. He remains in charge of Mathematics & Art, but he will lead Years 4-6, until the end of the academic year. We wish them all well in their new roles.
