Lincoln Orens Middle School Island Park, New York SITE BASED MANAGEMENT TEAM MINUTES September 24, 2018

Minutes from the June 11th, 2018, Site Based Meeting were approved.
High School bulletin boards in the hall will be redecorated to present goals, etc.
The Phys Ed Department and Cafeteria will set up displays in the showcases nearest their location, and the Art Teacher has set up a bulletin board to celebrate kindness.
Members will continue to look into the availability of any applicable grants, especially grants regarding studio/film on-screen announcements.
Dr. Hoffman is looking to order benches to be placed on the Audubon side recess area for students’ use. Discussion also centered on the possibility of constructing Boce’ courts and/or painting a circle for a student game. There is a plan to paint the basketball courts blue (to discourage seagulls from dropping clam shells) and to replace the basketball hoops.
Tree planting remains a work-in-progress.
Discussion also centered on items that are available to decorate the fence.
The next meeting of the SBMT is scheduled for October 22 nd.
