Linda Hungerford Domestic Machine Quilting: A Quilter’s Journey from Novice to Confident Tuesday September 5, 2017 Laurel Manor 1985 Laurel Manor Drive The Villages, FL 32162

Linda Hungerford has been a sewist since childhood, and a quilter since 1976. In 1998 she began domestic machine quilting, and in 2005 began teaching. Her first beginner classes were taught to make mission quilts at her church in Iowa, and expanded to churches throughout the Des Moines area. She taught that five-week series of lessons 34 times. As a result of those classes, she wrote First Time Quiltmaking (Landauer Publishing, 2006). Since moving to The Villages in 2012, she taught beginner quiltmaking and

beyond-beginner technique classes through the now-closed Lifelong Learning College. She currently travels to teach. Her quilts and patterns have been published in several quilting magazines, including Modern Patchwork, and in September 2016 she presented a quilt binding webinar through the Modern Quilt Guild. Linda is the founder of the Central Florida Modern Quilt Guild (CentralFloridaMQG.blogspot.com). Find her at FlourishingPalms.blogspot.com and FlourishingPalms on Instagram and Pinterest.
