Nursery Rhyme Activity Pack
Little Miss Muffet Contents and Instructions Illustrated Blank Page This can be used in conjunction with the cut out sentences. The student should sequence the sentences correctly to make the rhyme. It can also be used for writing rhyming words or similar written activity.
Baseboard and Cut Outs Use the baseboard and cut out characters with your students to bring the rhyme to life as you learn it. This can also be enlarged and printed double size to use as a whole class activity.
Fill in the Blank Activity Use the baseboard and the two cut out pictures to teach your students an awareness of the rhyming words in the verse. You can also use the written words without pictures. As an extension activity, students can make up “silly” rhymes by using alternative rhyming words from the cut out selection.
Rhyme Posters Posters are provided in color and grayscale for classroom display or to send home for practice.
Vocabulary cards Reinforce the vocabulary in the nursery rhyme for students who need help in this area. Try printing 2 copies of the cards and playing Snap.
Counting Syllables Cut up the color images into individual squares. Use clothes pins and have your students clip a pin on the correct number of syllables in each word. If you prefer you can use the black line version as a worksheet without cutting. Your students can color or stamp the correct circle. © TeachingTalking
