C ALL TO W ORSHIP : L EAD BY P AUL V ROOM (1 P ETER 1:3-5) Leader: Let us come together and praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. People: He has raised Jesus from the dead. He has given us new life and hope. Leader: God therefore claims us as his own. He has brought us out of darkness and has made us a light unto the world. Let us therefore respond in worship to our risen Savior!

R E S P O N D I N G I N S O N G | H OLY I S THE L ORD – C HRIS T OMLIN C ONFESSION OF S IN | L EAD BY P ASTOR P AUL V ROOM Leader: God it brings us great joy to sing things like Holy is the Lord and the earth is filled with his glory. However, as we sing these things, we are reminded that we are also affected by a world that is riddled with sin. So we come to you now, asking that you would bring new life to where we are worn and tired; new love where we have turned hard-hearted; forgiveness where we feel hurt and where we have been wounded. Give us new, resurrected hearts to know you, serve you, and love you every day. May the glorious truth of the resurrection of Jesus be ever-present in our lives. Amen.

A SSURANCE OF P ARDON Todd Paben: Hear these words from Scripture that assures us that we have been forgiven from all our sin.

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life appears, you also will appear with him in glory.” And now as we get ready to share the peace of Christ with one another, let me share this little piece with you that Manda showed me this week: “Inhale. We can celebrate because peace is no longer near or far but WITH us. It has been breathed into our souls! But breathing isn’t just a one-way street. Our lives are not sustained by the holding of breath. Exhale. We take this peace that is with us into the world! As Matthew Henry writes, “Christ was now sending the disciples to publish peace to the world (Isa. 52:7)”. As Jesus issues peace to us, we have the privilege of issuing it to the world around us. Like a breath of fresh air in an oxygen-starved room is the peace of Christ, His gift to us.”
