Welcome to Second Grade! June 22, 2017 Dear Friend, Congratulations and welcome to Second Grade. I am very excited to have you in my classroom. We are going to do a lot of fun things in Second Grade. We will be reading some exciting books, writing interesting stories, writing narratives and informational papers, exploring the math modules, taking a field trips and much more. We are going to have so much fun together! I hope you have a good summer and I’ll see in September. Here is a list of supplies you’ll need for Second Grade. Sincerely, Mrs. Livingston  Second Grade Supply List These will be shared in the classroom:  2 boxes of tissues  2 packages of glue sticks  1 box of Ziploc sandwich bags  1 package of 4 black dry erase makers  1 container of disinfectant wipes  1 package of pencils  2 Packages of 3x3 post it notes These will be for personal use only:  Back pack or book bag  1 box of Crayons (16 or 24 colors)  1 package of colored pencils ( 8 or 12 colors)  A pencil box to hold pencils and crayons  Headphones not ear buds (they break easily)  Dark color washcloth for dry erase boards  1 red pen  One spiral notebook (Poetry book) Optional items: 

Extra pair of sneakers (old) and socks to be left at school for your child for gym or outside activities.
