GAME NOTES
LHU On Hot Streak: The Lady
Eagles are postseason bound for the first time since the 1990-91 season, locking up a spot in the PSAC Tournament with their 74-57 win over Cheyney last Wednesday. Lock Haven propelled itself into the postseason with a recent hot streak, winning four straight games over Millersville (63-59), Cheyney (74-57) Kutztown (59-58) and Shippensburg (72-70) after a disappointing loss to Mansfield (53-50) on Feb. 7. A game-winning basket from J.J. Hilliard gave Lock Haven the win over Shippensburg Saturday, as Hilliard drilled the deciding basket with just one second remaining. Senior Marrysa Moyer had 23 points and 14 rebounds while fellow senior Sami Lane netted 17 points Saturday.
Playoff Picture: Lock Haven still has something to play for Wednesday, as a win could lock up the fourth seed and a home game in this weekend’s first round. Lock Haven currently has a tie with East Stroudsburg with identical 10-11 records, and split the season series with ESU. The Lady Eagles also split with sixth-place Kutztown (9-12), which could also work its way into a tie with LHU depending on the outcome of its Wednesday meeting with ESU, leaving the need for tiebreakers to come into play. LHU’s 11 wins this year are the most for the program since going 11-14 in 2010-11. Scouting LHU: The Lady Eagles rank 14th in scoring offense in the PSAC at 62.0 ppg, and ninth in scoring defense (62.9 ppg). Lock Haven does very little damage from long range – its 68 3-pointers (2.7/game) are 19 fewer than any other PSAC team this season. By comparison, Bloomsburg has 159 3’s (6.4/game). Lock Haven does a fair job on the offensive glass – its 12.9 offensive rebounds per game is ninth in the PSAC, led by Moyer who is third in the PSAC in rebounding at 9.8 per game. The Bald Eagles also do well at taking care of the ball – their +1.5 turnover margin is fifth-best in the league.

GAME NOTES Last Time Out: The Huskies cruised to an 87-59 win Saturday at Millersville, putting the game away by starting the second half on an 18-1 run. Bloomsburg shot a season best 54.1 percent from the floor (33-of-61), the third time this year the Huskies have shot 50 percent or better, also doing so in wins over California (52.1%) and at Shippensburg (50.0%). Marla Simmons scored a game-high 24 points for her sixth game this year of 20-plus points and 11th straight game of double figure scoring. Simmons now leads all PSAC East scorers at 14.3 points per game this season. Playoff Game: Bloomsburg has a first round bye and will host a quarterfinal game Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. If Bloomsburg wins next Tuesday, it will host the PSAC Final Four.
History Made: With their win on Saturday, the Huskies became the first program to win five consecutive outright PSAC East regular season titles, again locking up the No. 1 seed from the East in the upcoming PSAC Tournament. Bloomsburg won four straight outright Eastern Division titles from 1988-92. Honoring The Senior Class: The Huskies will honor their class of 2015 prior to today’s game - Maggie Borski, Jocelyn Ford, Taylor Maldonado, Nikki Tamanosky and Marla Simmons. This year’s senior class has been a part of 98 wins over the past four seasons, tying the Classes of 2014 and 1992 as the winningest in school history. A win today would give the Huskies their winningest four-year period in program history. This year’s senior class has been a part of four PSAC East titles, three NCAA Tournament berths, a PSAC Championship and a run to an NCAA Sweet 16.

GAME NOTES
Last Time Out: A 22-9 run from Millersville to open the second half was too much to overcome as the Huskies fell on the road, 73-60, on Saturday. Alssene Saintilus had his sixth doubledouble of the year with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Jon Riles also had 14 points, Charles Haigler 11 and Christian Mortellite 10. Huskies Honor Senior Class: Bloomsburg will honor its four seniors before tonight’s game Alssene Saintilus, Jon Riles, Saige Speece and Moustapha Noumbissi. Speece served as a team manager for three years before joining the roster this season, playing in nine games. Saintilus is among the team’s leaders in nearly every category and has scored over 1,100 points during his collegiate career. Riles also is one of the team’s leaders in nearly every statistical category, including leading the team in assists. Noumbissi has also been a regular member of the starting lineup and ranks eighth alltime in BU career blocks. First Time Around: Lock Haven won the first meeting of the season, 94-82, at LHU on Jan. 24.
After a back-and-forth first half, the Bald Eagles could not be stopped from long range. Despite entering the day as the PSAC’s worst 3-point shooting team at just over 27 percent, Lock Haven was on fire in the first matchup. Lock Haven hit a season-high 10 3-pointers, finishing 10of-19 from beyond the arc. Bloomsburg had five players in double-figure scoring as Jon Riles (15 points), Alex Prislupsky (11 points), Charles Haigler and Christian Mortellite (10 points each) all had strong scoring days.

Last Game: Lock Haven recorded its fourth straight win, 74-63, at home over Shippensburg on Saturday, erasing a 31-23 deficit at halftime. The Bald Eagles came alive in the second half, however and soared ahead thanks to a, 29-10 run in the first 10 minutes of the period. Wali Hepburn led all scorers with 20 points on a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line. He added four rebounds and four assists. Theo West notched his third double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Scouting Lock Haven: Lock Haven has clinched a spot in the upcoming PSAC Tournament, but is still playing for seeding. The Bald Eagles already know they will play in Saturday’s first round on the road, as Millersville has already locked up the No. 4 seed and Lock Haven (10-11) cannot catch West Chester (13-8) or Kutztown (14-7) with East Stroudsburg (15-6) the No. 1 seed. Lock Haven becomes the No. 5 seed with either a win Saturday or a Mansfield (9-12) loss.
Senior Wali Hepburn is a dynamic scoring threat, leading the entire PSAC in scoring with 19.8 points per game, scoring 20 or more points in five of the past six games. Fellow senior Theo West adds 10.1 ppg. Lock Haven ranks seventh in the PSAC in offense, averaging 73.9 points per game, but has struggled on the defensive end by ranking 16th after allowing 79.9 points on average. LHU typically doesn’t do much damage from beyond the arc, averaging 4.7 3’s per game – 17th in the conference, but made a seasonhigh 10 in the first game of the year vs. the Huskies.
