Louisville Riverfront Park
Located on the Ohio River, adjacent to downtown Louisville, this proposed 30-acre park is the first phase in the City’s efforts to reclaim their waterfront. SWA’ master plan included evaluation of existing riverfront use areas, mitigation of the elevated highway separating the park and downtown, and connections from greater Louisville to the river. The current program for the park includes a fresh/salt water aquarium, areas for Kentucky Ferry Festival activities, river boat and water taxi docking and pedestrian wharf areas.
