Note: This project is made using the GO! Qube Mix & Match 6” Block Set (55775) and the GO! Square 8” finished (55058) to cut some of the shapes. Border Stripe (A) • Fussy cut four 5 ½” x 40” strips center each on the same design. Love Birds (B) • Use GO! 8” finished square die and fussy cut one 8 ½” square centered on the Birds. Blue (C) • Cut three 5” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into twenty-two 5” squares. • Using Go Qube Die #8 to die-cut forty 2” x 3 ½” rectangles from twenty 5” squares. • Using Go Qube Die #4 to die-cut eight quarter square triangles from two 5” squares. • Cut one 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew one 1” x 8 ½” Fabric F strip to each side of the 8 ½” Fabric B square. Sew one 1” x 9 ½” Fabric F strip to the top and bottom of the 8 ½” Fabric B square to make one Block One square (Fig. 1).

Place one 2” Fabric D square on the right side of one 2” x 3 ½” Fabric C rectangle, right sides together (Fig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 2). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 3). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make one CD unit. Repeat to make eight CD Units. Place one 2” Fabric D square on the left side of one 2” x 3 ½” Fabric C rectangle, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 4). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 5). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make one DC unit. Repeat to make eight DC Units. Starting at the sewn seam (represented by the arrow in Figure 21) draw a 45-degree line out to the edge of the fabric. Sew on the drawn line. Trim the excess fabric leaving a ¼” seam. Repeat this step with the remaining corners.

To miter each corner, fold the quilt top on a diagonal wrong side together . This should line up the strips from adjacent sides (Fig. 21).

Layer and quilt as desired. Sew the four 2 ½” x LOF Fabric K strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press. Bind as desired.
