Early childhood admission screenings at Berkeley Preparatory School (Pre-K, K and First Grade) seek to identify those applicants who would be successful within the context of the learning environment offered. The options available range from appropriate grade level and program groupings to whether or not Berkeley is in fact the most viable choice for your child. Based on years of professional experience, decisions encompass all the factors which help predict a “good fit” between student and school. Specifically, our placement recommendations are influenced primarily by determining each child’s developmental level of functioning rather than relying solely on
