Luke Taylor Candidate For Battersea Personal Biography Luke works as a transport planner for a large engineering consultancy in London. He has lived and worked around the world: in Dubai, Toronto, and Auckland. Since 2009 has been based in Battersea, at Clapham South. Luke helped to lead Layla Moran’s campaign for the Liberal Democrats in Battersea in 2010 when he lived on Stormont Road, and then continued to lead local campaigning efforts in Battersea when he moved to Nightingale Lane in 2010. He served on the local party executive committee from 2010 to 2012, and again from the beginning of 2015. Luke has a particular interest in education and transport policy, He is a member of the Association of Liberal Democrat Engineers and Scientists and is focussed on ensuring that policies are based on sound reasoning and evidence and not on outdated assumptions or faulty ideology.

Luke believes in equality of opportunity and the importance of high quality education, and will fight to protect the vulnerable from those that would prioritise individual gain for the privileged over the benefit of all.
