Expand Mission Work in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and Ethiopia $104,500 Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, and Ethiopia have Mission Training Centers to equip new believers to become teachers, evangelists, pastors, and servants of new congregations in these regions. LCMS World Mission personnel help and supervise these centers and supply materials, but additional funding is necessary to reach these new Christian servants. A $104,500 grant helps develop and support new Mission Training Centers in Africa.

Building Hope in the City, an urban crosscultural mission organization, has successfully reached out to immigrants migrating to inner cities of Ohio. Partnering with 8 urban congregations, Building Hope in the City seeks to offer “Urban Family Learning Centers” that offer weekly evangelism activities for children, tutoring programs, and Gospel outreach to Arab and African immigrants. A grant of $32,500 supports this mission work throughout large cities in Ohio.
