Lyme-Old Lyme Little League/ Softball Tryouts *Saturday March 15th AND March 22nd Lyme-Old Lyme High School gym (*This year, for the first time, we are offering two tryout dates. Players may attend both, or just one day; we will only be using each player’s highest score.) Majors Division tryouts Last names A-L: 10-11 am Last names M-Z: 11-12 am Kid pitch and Coach pitch Division tryouts 12:30-1:30 pm Majors Softball tryouts 10-11:30 am Evaluations for other softball levels will be held by appointment. Majors: For players Little League age 9-12 yrs. All players not in majors last year must tryout. This includes 12 yr olds for a skills evaluation. Kid Pitch: This tryout is only for 8yr old players interested in “playing up” in the Kid Pitch Division. Depending on whether there are openings, 8yr olds may be able to play in kid pitch, determined by their evaluations. Players who have previously played in the Kid Pitch Division and intend to return to that division do not need to attend this tryout. Coach Pitch: This tryout is only for 6yr old players interested in “playing up” in the Coach Pitch Division. Depending on whether there are openings, 6yr olds who have completed one year of tee ball may be able to play in coach pitch, determined by their evaluations. Players who have previously played in the Coach Pitch Division and intend to return to that division do not need to attend this tryout. While we deeply appreciate parental support of their athletes, tryouts are closed to parents. Please be assured that the board has worked diligently to make the selection process as fair as possible, utilizing highly skilled and unbiased evaluators.
In order to participate in these tryouts, we need a medical release for each player trying out. This form can be printed out from our website www.lolll.org. Please have this form filled out and ready to hand in before you drop your player off for tryouts.
