Gould & Eberhardt – New Capabilities in Gear Gashing and Hobbing
The newly designed G&E Gasher/Hobber; models 96GH, 120GH, and 160GH can be used for Gashing and Hobbing of spur, helical, worm and specialty profiles on cylindrical parts.
The new G&E Gasher/Hobber has been designed to deliver exceptional results for quality, reduced cycle time and flexibility in the rapidly changing gear industry. The exceptional results achieved in gear gashing has opened a wide range of applications for gear cutting in Wind Energy, Mining, Off-Highway Construction, and other coarse pitch gearing. All of our G&E Gasher/Hobbers are equipped with the new G&E interchangeable cutter head design. The head designs allow the option to have both internal and external heads on a single column machine. We also offer each model (96GH/120GH/160GH) with a second base and column for those customers who would like to have a dedicated dual column head configuration or tailstock.

G&E Remanufacturing Capabilities CNC Remanufacturing and Retrofitting The G&E CNC remanufacturing programs are very extensive with only the basic castings being re-used, but totally re-machined and equipped with hardened and ground box type ways. The table assemblies are remanufactured to original machine specifications. Newly, designed slides, ball screws, lift cylinders, electronics and heads are supplied for your specific needs – all to assure the rigidity, strength and vibration-free operation required for today’s high-speed gashing and hobbing requirements for carbide tooling.
G&E offers extensive remanufacturing services for the older conventional G&E gear hobbers and gashers from 72” diameter capacity up to 240” diameter.
Special Worm Wheel Manufacturing with Full Inspection Capabilities G&E has extensive worm and worm gear manufacturing with complete inspection capabilities, we supply accurate worm & worm gear sets from 12” to 128” diameter. We also offer CNC Worm Grinding and Full CNC Inspection.
