B efore You B egin Read all instructions before beginning project. Do not pre-wash fabrics before cutting. Press with a dry iron on cotton setting. Use a ¼" (.635cm) seam allowance and sew fabrics with right sides together (RST) unless otherwise noted. Backstitch at beginning and end of seams and finish edges with zigzag or serge stitching. Copy pattern piece and use to transfer all marks to fabric pieces after cutting.

Sewing
Dia. A
1. Measure ¼" (.635cm) in from top and side edges of Skirt Front and make a dot. Using a long gathering stitch, sew 1⁄8" (0.317cm) from the top edge of the Skirt Front between dots. Sew again ¼" (.635cm) from the top edge. Pin the stitched edge of the Skirt Front RST to the bottom edge of the Bib piece, matching dots. Pull the threads and adjust gathers to fit the Bib; pin and sew, beginning and ending at dots (Dia. A).

2. Press the top edge of the Skirt Back ¼" (.635cm) to the wrong side. Press again ½" (1.27cm) to the wrong side and sew close to edge to create casing. 3. Attach safety pin to one end of elastic and insert into casing. Feed it through casing and pin at each end. Remove safety pin and sew at each end to secure elastic. 4. Pin Skirt Front to Skirt Back RST and sew side seams.

5. Pin Skirt Band pieces (2" x 12 ½" / 5.08cm x 31.75cm) RST and sew side seams. Pin RST to bottom edge of Skirt matching side seams; sew (Dia. B). Press bottom edge of skirt band (2" x 8" / 5.08cm x 20.32cm) ¼" (.635cm) to the wrong side twice; sew to hem.

Neck Ties
6. Fold a Neck Tie (2" x 8" / 5.08cm x 20.32cm) RST so long edges meet; Press. Using an 1⁄8" (3.175mm) seam allowance, sew along one end and the long edge; turn right side out. Center the seam, then fold the sewn end toward the center seam and press. Tuck tip inside end; press (Dia. C). Repeat to make a second Neck Tie.

7. Pin the cut edge of each Neck Tie to the right side of the Bib at the Neck Tie placement marks; sew (Dia. D). Note: Neck Ties will be tied with a knot on doll (not a bow).
8. Press bottom edge of Bib Lining ¼" (.635cm) to the wrong side. Pin the Bib Lining to the Bib RST. Sew around curved edge, leaving the bottom open. Tip: Pin the ends of Neck Ties to the center of the Bib before sewing to avoid catching them in the seams. Dia. E

9. Turn Bib right side out, gently pushing out curved edge; press and topstitch close to sewn edge. Hand stitch bottom edge of Bib Lining to Skirt Front to enclose edges (Dia. E).

10. Fold a Waist Bow (2" x 6" / 50.8cm x 15.24cm) RST so long edges meet. Using a 1⁄8" (3.175mm) seam allowance, sew along all edges leaving a 2" (5.08cm) opening in the center of the long edge for turning. Turn right side out and sew opening closed. Center the seam, then fold the end points towards the center seam and tuck tip inside end; press (Dia. F). 11. Tie a center knot, pin to center front of waist seam and sew in place.
