Also worked with the executive director to organize materials for grant applications.  “The Lantern” Literary Magazine (USA) Poetry Editor, Oct 2011 -- May 2012 Assistant Copyeditor, Oct 2009 – May 2010 Oversaw a staff of twelve readers responsible for selecting the content of the magazine’s poetry section. Advertised for submissions and staff during the beginning of the process, then lead workshops on poetry with my staff once they were hired. Served as Assistant Copyeditor for the magazine two years before, when I was responsible for proofreading the entire magazine. Recent Employment  British Museum (UK) Information Assistant, August 2014 – August 2015 Answered queries and advised visitors to the museum at the information desk, often using the museum’s online catalogue and database. Acted as receptionist for departmental appointments. Responded to phone and email queries regarding ticketing and school bookings in the museum’s contact center.  RNIB’s Insight Radio (UK) Newsreader on Early Edition (volunteer position), November 2013 – May 2014 Selected, edited for length, and read newspaper articles on air during two-hour morning news program serving the UK’s blind and partially-sighted community.  Number One Chocolate Factory (UK) Chocolatier, November 2013 – May 2014 Ran workshops teaching children to make edible chocolate crafts. Created specialty chocolates and sculptures to sell in the affiliated café.  Thomas J. Watson Fellowship (USA) Fellow, June 2012 – June 2013 Employed full-time through a fellowship grant for an independent project about creating nonviolent communities. This project found me living in a Quaker settlement in Costa Rica, interviewing Liberation Theologians in Peru, volunteering at a squatted community center in Denmark, planting trees in an ecovillage in southern India, living with Tibetan refugees in northern India, and learning about rebuilding society after ethnic conflict in Kyrgyzstan.
