Write a poem!

First, take one of the cardboard pieces, place your photo on top and draw around it. Next, measure about 1cm in from this rectangle and draw a smaller rectangle. Then ask an adult to help you cut this one out.

Now, draw another box (5cm larger) around the one you’ve just made. Carefully cut this out. Then, trim another piece of card exactly the same size, but without the hole in the middle.

Next, trace the front of your frame (the piece with the hole in it) onto some felt or foam. Cut this out and stick it to the frame. When it’s dry, create some fun shapes from the felt or foam and decorate the frame. If you want, add wiggly eyes, too!

Now, stick the edges of your photograph to the back of the decorated piece of card so that the picture is facing outwards. Then, glue the two pieces of card together to create the frame.
TOP TIP!

Choose a photo that hasn’t got anything importa nt around its edge — don’t want to cu you t anyone’s head w off hen you’re glueing it on!
Finally, to make a stand for the frame, cut a wide strip of spare cardboard and bend it about 2cm from the end. Stick the bent bit to the back of your frame. Now your gift is ready!

Surprise your mum by bringing her breakfast when she wakes up — it’ll be a surprise she’ll never forget! Pancakes are easy to make and you can decorate them with lots of yummy fruit, too! Ask you dad or older sibling to help you.

Pick some flowers or pretty leaves from your garden or local woodland, place them in a vase and give them to your mum as a surprise. Don’t forget to ask first, though! If you’re not allowed to pick them, make flowers from coloured paper!
