ABOUT TODAY’S GAME • The Millersville men’s soccer team looks to
remain unbeaten as it squares off against the East Stroudsburg Warriors. The 2015 edition of Coach Steve Widdowson’s squad has been extremely balanced, scoring eight goals, and only surrendering two goals on the year. • Jaime Vazquez was named PSAC Player of the Week (9/14) after scoring three goals in two matches while leading the men’s soccer team to victories over nationally ranked Bloomsburg and Adelphi. Vazquez tallied his first goal of the week in the 3-0 road win over No. 18 Bloomsburg and then helped the Marauders stay unbeaten with the first two goals of the game against Adelphi. After surrendering an early goal against the Panthers, Vazquez was able to energize his teammates and crowd by gaining one-on-one positioning with the keeper where he then clinically finished evening the score in the eighth minute. Three minutes later, Vazquez put the Marauders up for good with a beautiful finish that fooled the Panthers goalkeeper. The Bernville, Pa., native now has scored four goals in four games, which is good for the second most goals scored in the PSAC. • Senior forward Casey Choffy scored two goals and East Stroudsburg netted four in the second half to post a 6-2 win over Pitt-Johnstown in its previous contest. Goalkeeper J.B. Pahls tallied three saves for the Warriors, which held a 19-5 advantage in shots.
