Counseling Corner Mrs. Klein Wisconsin Forward Exam It is that time again. It is time for schools all over the state of Wisconsin to administer the Wisconsin Forward Exam. The Wisconsin Forward Exam is designed to provide feedback on how a student is progressing in relation to the State Academic Standards. All students in Grade 3 - 8 participate in assessments in the areas of English Language Arts and Math. Additionally, students in Grades 4 and 8 participate in assessments in the areas of Science and Social Studies. The Wisconsin Forward Exam is administered online. Please see the brochure in the Friday Folder for further information. The testing window at John Paul II Academy begins on March 20th and will run through April 26th. Make-up testing will occur as needed during the test window and beyond through May 5th. The test will be broken down into smaller sections, so that students are only taking a small portion each day. There are some things you can do to help your child(ren) be successful during the Wisconsin Forward Exam:  Make sure they get a good night’s sleep

        

8 ½ - 11 hours

Prepare for school the night before, so your child doesn’t feel rushed in the morning

Lay out clothes and shoes

Pack their backpack with school work

Encourage your child to do their best and take some deep breaths before they begin.
