Westview Daycare Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser Saturday, March 25th 4-8 pm $8 per person/ $4 for ages 3-10 A portion of the proceeds will go to help send Daphne Brackeen to Disney World.

I must chuckle a little in preaching this series about God sending us out as missionaries. If you were here two Sundays ago you heard that as the Apostle Paul set off on his journey the Holy Spirit prevented him from preaching in Asia and Mysia. It was after this the Lord sent Paul to Macedonia to preach the good news of the Gospel. Many of you know that this past week I was prevented from preaching the gospel due to a stomach virus that hit me hard early Sunday morning. I am not sure if this was the Holy Spirit preventing me, but what I do know is that the Lord had a powerful Word for you from Tracy Jessup. I am grateful for Tracy’s willingness to step up at the last minute and give the Word the Lord had given him for Sunday. Paul’s instruction to Timothy was to be ready in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). Although this was a charge for Timothy with his pastoral ministry, I believe it is true for every believer. You may not have a sermon ready but being in the Word every day prepares us as God leads us into various circumstances at any given moment. The soil within us becomes rich and fertile when we meditate on God’s Word and contemplate His presence. This week we will complete Part 4, “I Am Sending You” and we certainly will see the various circumstances Paul encountered as a missionary (Acts 16:11-34). As missionaries, my encouragement to you is to be ready; the Lord has an assignment for you. Join Him in His work and be a part of the Gospel being revealed by our Creator. Just as Paul had a testimony, so do you! Blessings. Yours In Christ, Rick
