Do you know anything about "The Slow S tching Movement". I learned about it a year or so ago. I think it was created by Mark Lipinski and it became very popular in North America. I like the idea of this movement. It is easy to forget that we are doing what we are doing, not only to complete projects, but to use our crea vity and it is supposed to be fun and relaxing. Are you some mes being really stressed out because you have that quilt to do and you don't want to make a mistake, it has to be perfect. The Slow S tching is a way of living. Did you ever try e r r e to slow down when you are sewing (not having such a heavy Sant Michèle foot on your foot control) or when you are kni ng not to go a Owner mile an hour just because you want to complete the project? Slowing down is not easy, I know, I used to do everything fast and now not so much. I like to enjoy the process of taking my me, savouring every minute; le ng my mind focusing on what I am doing and not le ng any problems come to the surface. It took prac ce but I am almost there. But there is more, much more, to the art form that you love than fast and fun. Now is the perfect me to take a deep breath, sit back and enjoy the journey of making something wonderful. At The Running S tch we have a club on the second Saturday of the month where people are mee ng to do embroidery that is a perfect example of "Slow S tching" you should try it. It is a lot of fun. We’ve been blasted with bi er cold in O awa for the last two months ... I know, everybody is talking about it and darn Phil is right, six more weeks. We have been daydreaming about the spring days to come, and are looking forward to a nice walk in the park where we don't have to wear boots, tuque or mi ens. So be a believer, Spring will eventually come and at The Running S tch we will have quite the program for you. We will have our Ba ng and Backing sale on March 7; we will also have our Annual Fat Quarter Frenzy on March 21 and on the same day we will reveal the winner of the World Wide Quilt Day Challenge ... Don't forget to submit your block before March 13. Sew Amazingly "U" is also coming in June and we are so very excited because it will be a blast. Do not wait too long to buy your cket as we have limited space. Imagine yourself spending three full days with two amazing teachers and our own Wendy who knows so much about Bernina machines and accessories. You don't need to own a Bernina sewing machine, you don't need to be a professional sewer or even a quilter to be part of this unique experience‐‐ you just need to be interested in learning new techniques.

Desert Sky Desert Sky is a Fat Quarter friendly pa ern designed by Judy Niemeyer, It uses an equal amount of darks and lights to create a beau ful quilt.
