Special Bike to Haiti This specially made hand-pedaled tricycle was donated to MMDC many years ago. The tire was broken and no one had the initiative to fix it. Well, Jake Hill, MMDC’s Warehouse Assistant, was determined to get it done. He bought a new wheel (the closest size he could get to the original). He talked to the MMDC bike repair guys, and they could not fix it. He took it to a local bike repair shop, they could not fix it. Then Terry House, our sewing machine guru and all around repairman, said he would work on it. The next day he brought the tire and spokes back fixed and ready to be put on the tricycle. It was ready to go out on the next shipment to Haiti the next day. Some special needs child in Haiti will be so excited to be able to get around. A BIG thanks goes out to Terry and Jake.
Shipment to Haiti Over $175,000 worth of donations was sent to Food for the Poor in Haiti in February.

February Volunteer Coordinators We welcome Tim and Sharon Sherrow as first time coordinators. We also had our veterans Ron and Sharon Monroe back to finish the month. It was a busy month, with a shipment to Haiti, a mailing, working on personal dignity kits and getting cleaning buckets ready for the spring. Thanks for all you guys do for MMDC.
Wa, Ghana-West Africa In January MMDC sent 36 desks and 672 school bags to the Sisters of St. Francis in Independence, MO. Some of these desks and kits were sent to Wa, Ghana. Here is a picture of 6 of the desks and many boxes of the school bags. Thanks to all the volunteers who put their hard work and love into these projects.
