Stannington First School Thursday Times Diary dates : April 25&26, 3.30-6pm— Parents evening for nursery and Year 1-4 children April 27—Class photos May 10-12—Yr 4’s at Dukeshouse Wood May 19—Recep & Yr 1 Northern Stage visit
Visit from Mrs Irving (Chantry Middle School) for Year 4 children Mrs Irving will be visiting our Year 4 children on Monday. She will have a chat with the children and the children will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
School meals Due to the increased costs of our catering supplies, we are having to increase the cost of school lunches from £2 per day to £2.20 per day. This increase is for main school children only—the charge for nursery lunches will remain at £2.00 per day.
PTA reminder There is a PTA meeting at the Ridley Arms tonight at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.
June 9—Sports Day June 15—Reserve Sports Day June 20&22—Fathers Day lunches July 6—Transfer Day
Parents evening—25th & 26th April The next round of parents evening appointments will be held on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th April. These appointments are for nursery children and children in Years 1-4 only. You should have received an electronic reminder to book your appointment. If you are experiencing any problems using this system, please contact Mrs Harker.

New nursery children We have some new nursery children joining us after the Easter holidays. Next week they will be coming to school for their first visit—I’m sure that all the children in Rowan class will welcome them!
Tennis competition—Year 4 children Some of the Year 4 children will be representing our school at Chantry Middle School on Tuesday in a tennis tournament. Good luck to the team!
Dukeshouse Wood meeting Parents of Year 4 children are invited to attend a briefing meeting about the trip on Wednesday 5th April at 2.45pm. For any parents who cannot make it, copies of the presentation will be sent home.

Mum’s lunches
The club closes at 6pm. If you are running late or stuck in traffic, please telephone Lesley and Janet to let them know.
Our mum’s lunches have been extremely popular! The final lunch will be on Tuesday 4th April and we have a couple of spaces available; please let Mrs Harker/Gresham know if you’d like to come by 9am Friday morning.
A late collection payment will be charged to parents who collect their children after 6pm and have not informed staff prior to 5.45pm.
Comic Relief 2017 Well done everyone—we raised £130 for this year’s Comic Relief appeal.
Community News Treetots Toddler Group Fridays 1.30pm—Early Years building
Stannington Kids/Youth Club Meets every Saturday in the Community Room at Stannington First School. Kids Club Age 3-7 years—4.00pm to 5.30pm Youth Club Age 7 plus —5.30pm to 7.00pm Cost is £2 per club Activities include crafts, games, stories along with a tuck shop !
