Kiwanis 5 K Run/Walk

EVENT INFORMATION:

Registration fees are nonrefundable. No bikes or roller blades please. Pets permitted.

AWARDS: Awards to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall men and women’s finishers. Age group awards to top three in each men and women’s age group:

Time: 8:00 am start Entry Fee: Pre-registration received before March 31- $25.00. Race day -

$30.00 Entry fee includes a Kiwanis 5K tee shirt in sizes and quantities while they last. 1st priority to those pre-registered. “No Shows” will forfeit their shirts to race day participants if the shirt is not picked up by 7:40 am on race day. Shirt Pick-Up and Registration will take place Friday, March 30 from 4 to 7 pm at the North Carolina Maritime Museum, 204 E. Moore Street, Southport and Saturday from 6:30 to 7:45 am at Waterfront Park on race day.

COURSE: The 5,000 meter 5K Run/Walk follows a clock-wise course through Historic Southport and along the waterfront of the Cape Fear River. The course is paved asphalt and is mostly flat. Route map is on the reverse side.

SPRING FESTIVAL Spring Festival is held in Franklin Square Park and features over 150 craft vendors, live entertainment, spring flower and azalea sales, great foods, and children’s activities on Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
