[email protected] Wikipedia says: Spring Break is a U.S. phenomenon and an academic tradition which started during the 1930s in the United States. Funny that it is defined as a phenomenon and an academic tradition when usually there is nothing academic about it. If anything it should be defined as the lack of academia. Three weeks ago as I was teaching Sunday School a student asked me how many days until Spring Break. This week I heard several comments like; “It’s a good thing Spring Break is almost here” and “I can’t wait ‘til Spring Break.” Spring Break seems to be something to look forward to for students, parents and teachers alike. That anticipation of something special can motivate us to keep going, try our best. The reward is around the corner. According to Matthew 24:36 “No one knows the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father”, when Jesus will return. That my friend, can be frustrating. It is like the student who asks daily when is Spring Break. If they only knew how long they had to wait it might make the waiting easier. For us Christians it is not an easy wait. We take comfort knowing that our heavenly Father has prepared a place for us in heaven. Jesus promises to return. His word is good and He always keeps His promises. That is something we can look forward to. Mrs. Terry Bird

Appointments and Absences If your child will be absent due to illness or an appointment please alert the office. If ill you may leave a message on the absent line or call to give the symptoms your child is experiencing. We are required to submit this data in a weekly communicable disease report to the Berrien County Health Department. If your child will need to leave early the office will issue a pass for your child to be ready and waiting in the office when you arrive to get them. Then when you return stop back in the office for your child to receive a pass back into class, letting the teacher know you stopped in the office.
