Market Snapshot – May 2017 Tauranga There were 142 Recorded sales in the TAURANGA region for MAY 2017 UP from 119 recorded the previous month. The median days to sell were 37 days unchanged from the previous month. Sales numbers in MAY have increased by approximately 19.5% on the previous month with the Median Sale price increasing by $9,065 to $581,065. The market is still adjusting and we need to analyse statistics over the following few months to see if there is a pattern in relation to sales numbers and property values. Winter is now upon us, temperatures dropping and nights getting longer however some of the days have been beautiful with the winter sun warming both heart and spirit. Don’t believe what some people may tell you that winter is not a great time to sell, I know it is. There is less competition in the market. Buyers love seeing properties in the winter. If your fire is roaring or the heat pump on it can give a cosy and welcoming feel.
