For You Mother As we both age with time, in this complex world, and I don’t come around, as often as I should, and when I do, I seem to be a bit distant, that does not mean I don’t love you, or that I don’t care, or have forgotten you mother! For the memory of you never fades from my mind, no matter where I may be. Teaching me, right from wrong, honesty, compassion, fellowship, and the will to accomplish. Regardless of the burdens that life has imposed upon you. and when I become troubled, you comforted me, Your hands deep in callus, from the hard labour of the day, but ever so gentle, and when I was in sorrow, how your tears washed my sorrows away, always telling me son, a better day tomorrow. And when you saw a blind man struggling to cross a street, a child in hunger, or someone in pain, tears would come into, your eyes, and the words, which I can never forget, what have they done to deserve this. But most of all mother, you have taken the time to give me life, and that in itself is beyond words. So, may this and everyday be your day always For you Mother
