Mary E. Clements Mary Elizabeth Clements, 90, of Charlottesville, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 at the home of her daugh-ter. Jr Born July 27, 1914, in Fluvanna County, she was the daughter of the late L.B. Whitlock and Carrie Seiler Whitlock. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Clements. Mrs. Clements was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Park Street for 76 years. She is survived by her daughter, Shelby "Jeanie" Eldridge and her husband, Art, of Charlottesville; a sister, Alice Mawyer of Charlottes-ville; her granddaughter, Sherrie Gainer and her husband, Patrick, of Hampton; her grandson, Gordon Eldridge and his wife, Becky, of Petersburg; and three great grand-children, Erin Gainer of Hampton, Brooke Eldridge and Tyler Eldridge, both of Petersburg; and by many special nieces and nephews A funeral service will be con-ducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, in the Chapel of the Hill and Wood Funeral Home with Dr. Joel P. Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening at the fu-neral home. Those who wish to make a me-morial donation may make a gift in Mary's name to the First Baptist Church, 735 Park Street, Char-Iottesville, VA 22901 or to a charity of your choice.
