I Am Always With You I am always with you When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a say
“Welcome Home.”

Obituary Mary Jane White was born on June 15, 1923 to the late Edmond and Daisy DeBerry in Scotland County, North Carolina. After a brief illness, she departed into eternal rest on January 25, 2017. She was reared in a Christian home and at an early age, she accepted Christ in her life and joined Silver Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Mary Jane showed her dedication to Christ by remaining a faithful member through various ministries to include the choir, Sunday school teacher and secretary, and the Kitchen committee. Mary Jane was educated in the Hoke County school system and attended Upchurch High School, where she met and fell in love with her soulmate, Isadore White. They were married and blessed with seven children. Mary Jane saw six of children become adults and start families of their own.

As a devoted wife and mother, she shared a special connection with each of children and in later years, she was a doting grandmother, and also shared a special bond with her grandchildren. She often times showed her love for family through cooking. She was the Queen of baking and was known for her famous fruit cakes. She raised Avery White in her home as her own child and her heart was opened to many through the years, and she became a surrogate grandmother to many young men and women.

Mary Jane was a hardworking proud woman. She worked at Ft. Bragg for several years, before moving on to Stanley Furniture. After several years of dedicated service, she retired.
Remarks ………..……………………………Deacon James Pope
She was very direct, so you never had to guess what was on her mind. Another passion outside of her family was her love for fashion and Mary Jane was always dressed to impress. Like many women of her generation, she always wore her Sunday hat. The beautiful flowerbed outside of her home was also evidence of her love for decoration.
