Thank you very much to everyone who came to our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 maths evenings on Monday. It was lovely to see so many of you there and we hope you found it helpful! The slides and information from that evening are now on our school website for you to access. We also said we would give all parents some information about what is expected from your child in maths at the end of the school year. With increased expectations it will really help your child if you can focus on these targets and support them towards achieving these. Thank you for all your continued positive support. Year 1 pupils should:  count to and across 100, forwards and backwards, beginning with 0 or 1, or from any given number  count, read and write numbers to 100 in numerals  count in multiples of twos, fives and tens  given a number, identify one more and one less  identify and represent numbers using objects and pictorial representations including the number line, and use the language of: equal to, more than, less than (fewer), most, least  read and write numbers from 1 to 20 in numerals and words.  represent and use number bonds and related subtraction facts within 20
