The  daily  Bible  readings  below  are  some  key  passages  from  the  book  of   Isaiah,  particularly  addressing  the  theme  of  God’s  restoration  after  judgment.  

The  daily  Bible  readings  below  are  some  key  passages  from  the  book  of   Isaiah,  particularly  addressing  the  theme  of  God’s  restoration  after  judgment.  

Day  1:  Read  Isaiah  3:18-­‐4:1;  Pray  for  pastors/members  of  Christ  Our  King   Community  Church  (downtown)  and  their  pastor  James  White,  that  their   gospel  love  would  stand  in  stark  contrast  to  the  darkness  of  sin.  Pray  that   they  would  be  a  blessing  to  our  community  as  they  reflect  Christ’s  love.   Pray  that  the  W ord  of  God  would  be  taught  faithfully  in  the  church  each   week.

Day  2:  Read  Isaiah  4:2-­‐6;  As  Wednesday  night  programs  kick  off  this  week   (Sep11),  pray  that  God  would  make  us  look  more  like  Jesus  as  we  study  his   word.  Women  will  be  studying  the  book  of  James,  men  will  be  studying   1,2,3  John,  Middle  School  and  High  School  will  be  going  through  God’s  Big   Picture  (biblical  theology),  and  the  children  will  begin  Catechism  Club,   which  goes  through  the  questions  of  the  Westminster  Shorter  Catechism.

Day  3:  Read  Psalm  30:1-­‐12;  Pray  for  a  small  group  from  our  church  that  is   visiting  Christ  Our  Hope  Church  in  Clifton,  NJ  this  coming  weekend  (Sep   12-­‐15).  It  is  a  vision  trip  to  pray  and  plan  towards  what  our  partnership   with  COHC  will  look  like  as  they  begin  their  church  plant  in  a  primarily   Turkish  Muslim  community  in  the  greater  Metro  New  York  City  area.

Day  4:  Read  Isaiah  56:1-­‐8;  Pray  for  Tom  Mercer  as  he  prepares  to  teach   this  coming  Sunday  on  Isaiah  6:1-­‐13.  Pray  that  the  Spirit  would  give  insight   and  direction  in  his  study  (1  Cor.  2:12-­‐13).
