News Briefs - QUILT CHALLENGE Ends! Quilt’n Thyme Sew & Vac, Inc. has been sponsoring a kids quilt challenge to collect donations for the Corning Police Department and Tehama County Sheriff’s Office to distribute to children displaced from their homes. Quilt donations for the challenge were to be no larger than 45 x 60 inches and had to be finished and bound in order to be accepted. Quilts are needed for children ranging from infants through teens. By the end of April twenty eight quilts were donated. For each quilt donated participants received a ticket into a drawing for a $250 Quilt’n Thyme Sew & Vac, Inc. gift card. An additional ticket into the drawing was
awarded for each quilt donated that used at least 50% fabric purchased at Quilt’n Thyme Sew & Vac, Inc. during the challenge period. All donations had to be received by close of business Friday, April 29, 2017 to receive tickets for the drawing. Any donations made after April 29, 2017 are not eligible for the drawing. The winner of the Drawing, held on Monday, May 1st, is Sandra Merhoff. “Congrats!”
