May 12, 2017 May 13- Enchantment Under the Sea Dance / 4H Rabies Vaccination Clinic -See notes below- May 15- 5th and 6th grade Field trip to Old Washington State Park-Buses will leave the school at 8:30 am. May 16- Grades 5-8 Academic Awards Ceremony at 8:15am in the High School Auditorium -We will recognize All A’s and A/B’s for the year (students must have made an A or A/B in 1st, 2nd, AND 3rd nine weeks to receive this award), perfect attendance, and individual teacher awards. We will send a letter home if your child will be receiving an individual teacher award. We will send students back to class after the Awards Ceremony. May 18- Physicals at 5:30pm -See Note Below May 25- Last Day of School!!

We appreciate YOU!! -The Kiwanis Club will hold a celebration for 2nd semester Terrific Kids on Friday, May 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. Terrific Kids are chosen from grades K-6 each semester. Congratulations to 2nd semester Terrific Kids: 5th grade- Mattie Pierce and Connor Jackson 6th grade- Travis Teague and Savannah Martin
-All meal balances must be paid by the last day of school. If you need to know your child's meal balance, please call Charlotte Woods at 332-5466. -All students entering 7th grade need to have a TDAP and a meningococcal vaccination prior to August 14th. For more information, contact Nurse Reid at [email protected] -Artists of the week: 7th grade: Bethany Woods 8th grade: Jamie Kelley Morning tutoring is available each day in room 310 from 7:25-7:55 a.m. -Enchantment Under the Sea Dance- Magnet Cove Band Presents the 1st annual Under the Sea Dance on May 13th from 8pm-11pm in the Magnet Cove Elementary Cafeteria. All Magnet Cove Alumni, Parents, and Teachers ages 18 years and older are welcome to attend. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. For more information contact Andy Beck at [email protected] -Your local chapter Junior Cotillion teaches social skills and etiquette to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls. The classes are held once a month from September to March. Registration for the 2017-18 season will be held in May/June. For more information go to www.nljc.com/chapter/hotsprings -FREE PHYSICALS: The Magnet Cove Athletic Department will conduct free physicals for all athletes, cheerleaders, and dance team members on Thursday, May 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Anyone entering Grades 7-12 MUST have a physical to participate. Contact Coach Efird at 501-332-2680 for more information. -Hot Spring County 4H Rabies Vaccination will be held Saturday, May 13th at the following locations in Magnet Cove: Diamond Joe’s Store from 2:35pm-2:55pm and Magnet Cove Elementary School from 3:05pm-3:20pm.
