OPENING: The regular meeting of the NPPB Board was called to order at 7:43pm on 5/12/14 in Newbury Park by Josh Stephenson. Those present are listed in the chart as well as guests: David Rivas, Jon Raskin, and George Guerrero.
2.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Steve made a motion to approve May minutes, second by Bob - motion carried.
3.
CALENDAR & NEXT MEETING: Tracey reported next meeting is Tues, June 10 at 7:30pm at Cronies Sports Grill.
4.
DIVISION REPORT: A. Shetland: Marty reported that all-stars are selected. He is open to suggestions. Marty also brought up a complaint about the parking at DV near the Shetland field. He has contacted the neighbors to discuss and they were very receptive. An email was sent out to all the Shetland managers to not park on the residential side of the street. Parking at Sequoia remains an issue. Jason K. suggested looking into helping the neighbors get petitions for permanent signs. B. Pinto: Brian reported playoffs start this week. Pinto National is up to 6 innings of kid-pitch. There are two 7U all-star teams and one 8U team. For in-house, there are 3 managers and the teams have been filled. Brian will get player eval forms out to managers. C. Mustang: Jason K. reported that Mustang National started stealing home. There was one injury, but it was minor and the player was able to play again. Mustang National also begins tournament play today. For all-stars, there are two 10U teams, and one 9U team. D. Bronco: Eric reported things are going good. There are 4 allstar teams, and he is still figuring out the in-house all stars – no managers yet.

E. Pony: Stephen reported 3 all-star teams: Dingman is the manager for 14U, Packard for 13UA, and Leehey for 13UB. 5.
ADVISORY REPORTS: A. Memorial Tournament: Josh reported about 50 teams. Kevin L. will check on Del Prado fields. Vendors we have are Cronies BBQ, kettlecorn, Chris’ Italian Ice, Mizuno eastern truck, and a t-shirt vendor. Jimmy reported that schedules will be finalized this week. He also reported there are no supplies to do the fields. They need a new batter box frame, chalk, etc. Brandon added that CRPD needs to be notified of field conditions.
6.
NEW BUSINESS: A. All-Stars: George Guerrero was under the assumption that his son was selected to the 13UA team based on a text he had received from the manager. After discussion, the issue was voted on and it was determined that the text was not an official offer.
7.
ADJOURNMENT: Meeting adjourned at 9:36 pm by Steve and second by Bob. Next meeting June 10 at Cronies Sports Grill. Minutes submitted by Tracey Huff
